Uniquely included also are the 4x5.65 / 6x6.6 Reduction Trays and MB-14 2-Stage. The MB-14 is built for heavy camera builds (like ARRI ALEXA or Sony VENICE) that require deep-stage filtration and maximum flare control. It is heavily utilized with large zooms (e.g., Angenieux Optimo or ARRI Master Primes) and is favored for its mechanical filter control, which prevents focus pullers from having to walk in front of the lens to adjust grad filters during takes.

Modular Components & Functions

4-Stage, 3-Stage, 2-Stage: The MB-14 is highly modular. You can swap the back modules depending on your weight limits or filter requirements. The 4-Stage allows up to four $6.6" \times 6.6"$ filters.
6.6x6.6 Filter Trays: Push-through trays that lock into place.
6.6x6.6 Geared Tray: Allows the filter to be connected to a drive shaft or whip.
Swing-away Arm: Swings open 90 degrees to the front without needing to remove the matte box from the rods.
Rod Supports: Easily swaps between 15mm and 19mm studio bridge plate consoles.
Eyebrow (Top) & Ears L+R: Flags used to cut out top and side glare.
Lens Rings & Bellows Ring: Adapts the back opening of the matte box (often 165mm or 138mm diameter) to fit various cinema lens front diameters (80, 95, 110, and 114mm).
Top Mounting Grid: Used for mounting top flags, additional accessories, or a rain tray.
Filter Gear Whip: Attaches to the geared tray to remotely rotate or slide graduated filters without touching the camera.

Note: Because of its size and the necessity of $6.6" \times 6.6"$ filters, the MB-14 is considered a studio piece. For lightweight, handheld, or clip-on applications, operators traditionally look to the modern ARRI LMB 4x5.
