TheARRI SR2 400' (120m) Magazineisa coaxial, quick-change film magazine designed for the Arriflex 16SR2 camera system. Unlike traditional magazines where film sits side-by-side, the coaxial design places the unexposed feed and the exposed take-up rolls on opposite sides of the magazine, making the system compact and well-balanced.
Key Features and Specifications
Capacity:Standard 400 ft (120m) film rolls or 200 ft (60m) daylight loading spools.
Design:Coaxial structure with thepressure plate built directly into the magazine, allowing for faster lens-and-gate changes.
Footage Tracking:Features two indicators—a subtractive mechanical lever on the feed side showing unexposed film and a resettable manual knob for exposed footage.
Mounting:Quickly snaps onto the camera body via a hinge pin and is secured with a locking safety lever.
Compatibility:Works with SR1, SR2, and SR3 bodies, though many but not all "Highspeed" (HS) versions are painted light gray and feature fixed pressure plates for frame rates up to 150 fps
