RARE 20:1 relic used in many documentaries, films - a real workhorse in the professional industry from it's original creation 1960's and refurbished by 1970's and 80's in camera houses.

  • cinematographer Linus Sandgren famously chose the vintage Angénieux 25-500mm T5 zoom to film the tennis match sequences in the movie Battle of the Sexes. 

Very few exist in the world for it's known for it's compact extremely light-weight for being a 20:1 lens. Warm skin tones, lower contrast

Vintage Character and Appeal

  • The "Angénieux Look": This custom lens preserves the signature vintage look popularized in 1960s and 70s cinema. It delivers warm skin tones, lower contrast images, and gorgeous magenta and amber lens flares. 
  • Cinematic Use: Hollywood directors occasionally source this rare 25-500mm zoom to achieve an intentional, historical television broadcast aesthetic.   • Rarity: Because these housings were custom-machined in small batches for boutique rental houses (often utilizing PL mounts for modern cinema cameras), very few exist worldwide. 
Because this is a vintage Angénieux 25-250mm lens core structurally modified with a 2x extender and custom boutique "Tamaha / Yamaha" mechanical housing, its physical profile is massive.
